1989 Jeep Comanche Pioneer 4x4, finished in red with a gray interior. This Jeep is equipped with a remanufactured 4.0-liter engine donated from a 1996 Jeep Cherokee. Equipment includes the Pioneer Package (rear step bumper, lower body moldings, power steering, color-keyed fender flares, door storage bins), a sliding rear window, a tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, and more as detailed below. A partial list of other modifications reported by the seller includes a transmission and transfer case from a 1996 Cherokee, a K&N intake system, a 4.5-inch Rusty's Off-Road lift kit with transfer case drop, Rough Country front sway bar disconnects, Bilstein shocks, 15-inch steel wheels with 32-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and LED auxiliary lighting. The full list is shown below. The "MJ" Comanche pickup, sold from 1986 to 1992, was a sibling to the "XJ" Cherokee and utilized the same unibody chassis. The Comanche could be had with rear-wheel drive or 4WD, and 6- or 7-foot bed lengths were offered.Power comes from a 4.0-liter inline-6, rated at approximately 177 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
