2017 Subaru WRX STI, finished in Dark Gray Metallic with a Carbon Black and red interior. Extensively modified, this WRX STI is fitted with a RalliSpec Street Spec Pro closed-deck short block, Manley Performance Products 99.75-millimeter pistons, Stage 2 camshafts, a Mishimoto radiator, a Forced Performance FP Black turbocharger kit, 2,150-cc fuel injectors, and HKS equal-length headers, among other aftermarket parts. More details about the modifications performed on this Subaru are provided below, and some of the work performed is detailed in an invoice shown in the gallery.Factory equipment includes 18-inch wheels, a Driver-Controlled Center Differential (DCCD), Alcantara and leather upholstery, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen for the Starlink infotainment system.Subaru's WRX STI began in 1992 as the top performance model in the Impreza lineup. Launched for the 2015 model year, the "VA"-generation WRX and WRX STI were split from the Impreza that they were based on. They became standalone models, not merely sportier evolutions of a compact car, and their new identity was accompanied by a more muscular-looking design plus the assortment of engine and chassis tweaks fans expected. Production ended in 2021 and the STI was not replaced.Power comes from a 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-4, rated at 305 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The modifications increase those figures to 539 and 520, respectively, at the wheels, according to a dyno sheet shown in the gallery. The engine spins the four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
