2005 Saab 9-2X Aero, finished in Midnight Black Metallic with a black interior. This Saab is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission along with a rebuilt "EJ205" engine that has been heavily modified with upgraded internals. Factory equipment includes the Sport Package (17-inch alloy wheels, power sunroof), a functional hood scoop, a rear roof spoiler, aluminum sport pedals, automatic climate control, and more as detailed below. Other modifications reported by the seller include a re-mapped JDM engine computer, Pedders sport shocks, STI front lower control arms, SPC rear control arms, a reupholstered interior, LED headlights, and powdercoated OEM wheels. Only produced for the 2005 and 2006 model years in North America, the 9-2X was a badge-engineered Subaru Impreza created to give Saab an entry into the premium small car segment. Linear models (later called 2.5i) were closely related to the Impreza, but the top-of-the-line Aero was a WRX with a Swedish makeover.Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four, rated at 227 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque in stock form. This engine may be making more power as a result of the modifications, though a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and a Subaru-developed all-wheel-drive system.
