Spyder models feature a manual canvas soft top, an aluminum rear deck and side doors, and lightweight 19-inch sport design wheels. Together with other weight-saving modifications these modifications reportedly save 178 pounds compared to a comparably equipped Boxster S. Spyder models also featured a lowered ride height (.9 inches), a stiffer suspension, and an additional 10 horsepower and 7 lb-ft of torque, compared to Boxster S models.Power comes from a 3.4 liter flat-6, rated at 320 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
