2016 Volkswagen GTI S, finished in Carbon Steel Grey Metallic with a Titan Black and Clark Plaid cloth interior. This GTI S came equipped with the Performance Package, which adds 10 extra horsepower, a limited-slip differential, and larger brakes. Additional equipment includes a sport suspension, cloth upholstery with plaid seat inserts, heated front sport seats, an 8-speaker sound system, and more as detailed below. The installation of a set of red 18-inch Sparco Trofeo alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS tires is the only modification made to this GTI S. An extra set of OZ Superlaggera alloy wheels with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires are included, however the factory wheels are no longer with the car.The Mark 7 Golf was introduced in 2012 on the automaker's new modular "MQB" platform, although U.S.-market sales didn't begin until the 2015 model year. The GTI lineup consisted of three models for 2016 — S, SE, and Autobahn. Praised as the quintessential hot hatch, it was bigger in every direction than its predecessor, so it offered a more spacious cabin, yet it was also about 80 pounds lighter.Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine, which produces 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It spins the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential.
