2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic with an AMG Charcoal leather interior. No modifications have been added to this R230.The owner has kept the car for a little over a year and states that the brakes were serviced with new rotors and pads; a receipt for the replaced parts is pictured in the photo gallery.Called R230 internally, the first new SL of the 21st century made its debut for the 2003 model year as a replacement for the venerable R129 model. It was appreciably quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, it ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design, and it came standard with a power-retractable hardtop. 2009 brought a round of comprehensive updates, and production ended in 2011.Power comes from a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, which produces 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission.
