1999 Ford F-150 Lightning, finished in Bright Red with a gray and black interior. Factory equipment includes 18-inch wheels, a locking rear differential, a heavy-duty cooling system, a Lightning-specific body kit, a flareside bed, power mirrors, a power driver's seat, a white-faced gauge cluster, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows.Modifications include a MagnaFlow exhaust system, a K&N Engineering intake system, a Hotchkis lowering kit with Bilstein shocks, a hard tonneau cover, and an aftermarket stereo system.Ford released the second-generation SVT Lightning for the 1999 model year, and the truck was immediately hailed as the "Mustang with a bed". By way of a huge Eaton supercharger sitting atop the tried-and-true "Triton" V8, these muscular trucks could go wheel-to-wheel with the "SN-95"-generation Mustang GT down a drag strip and were the fastest production trucks on the market for a time.Power comes from a "Triton" 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine, rated at 360 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
