2019 Ford F-150 Shelby Super Snake, finished in Leadfoot Gray with a black interior. Shelby built 250 units of the F-150-based Super Snake for 2019; this is number 100, according to a plate on the dashboard. Again available in a mind-bogglingly vast selection of configurations, the truck relied on aluminum to shed up to 700 pounds over its predecessor, and it was offered with a longer list of tech and comfort features. Production ended in 2020.Shelby filled a gap in the performance truck segment when it launched the street-oriented, F-150-based Super Snake for 2017. Low and loud, it wore a head-turning exterior design inspired by the firm's Mustang-based builds, it received a redesigned suspension system, and it was available with nearly twice the horsepower of the standard F-150. Every unit built was entered in the Shelby registry.Power comes from a supercharged 5.0-liter "Coyote" V8, rated at 755 horsepower. For context, the V8-powered F-150's factory output checks in at 395 horsepower. The engine spins the rear or the four wheels via a 2-speed transfer case and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
