More importantly, the S550 was the first Mustang to feature an independent rear suspension across the whole model range, which significantly improved the handling and dynamics of the iconic model. It's being replaced by the "S650" for the 2024 model year.Power comes from a "Coyote" 5.0-liter V8 engine, rated at 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque in stock form.
