With the "F3X" generation that debuted in 2015, the two-door versions of the 3 Series graduated to 4 Series nomenclature. The 428i featured a 240-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo, while the 435i got a turbo-six with 300 horses. The 4 Series "F33" convertible featured a power-folding retractable hardtop, and compared to its predecessor it claimed 40-percent better torsional rigidity.Power comes from an "N55" 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6, which produces 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque in stock form.
