This Wrangler is equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. This is a 2-owner car, with the original owner keeping it in his possession for over 26 years. Modifications reported, include painted 15-inch Jeep wheels, aftermarket headlights, a complete carpet removal, CJ-7 seats, and more. 1986 was a momentous year for Jeep. It ended production of the venerable CJ and it replaced the off-roader with the first-generation Wrangler, which went on sale in 1987. Called "YJ" internally, the original Wrangler kept its predecessor's silhouette but received a redesigned front end characterized by square headlights and an improved interior. Production ended in 1995, and Jeep hasn't launched another square-eyed Wrangler since. Power for this Wrangler comes from a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, rated at 123 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear or all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
