1983 Jeep CJ-7, finished in orange with a gray interior. Extensively modified, this Jeep has been fitted with a Buick Nailhead V8 engine with dual 4-barrel Carter carburetors, American Racing wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, a moisture-sealed dashboard, and a bikini top. Factory equipment includes a 4-speed manual transmission and vinyl upholstery.The CJ-7 was in production from 1976 to 1986 and features a 10-inch longer wheelbase than the CJ-5. Special editions of the CJ-7 include the Golden Eagle, Renegade, and Laredo. Over 375,000 models of the CJ-7 were produced over the 11-year model run.Power comes from a 7.0-liter Buick "Nailhead" V8 engine, rated at approximately 340 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and a 4-wheel drive system with a 2-speed transfer case that spins the rear or all four wheels.
