Factory equipment includes 19-inch wheels, carbon fiber side blades, carbon fiber interior trim, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a navigation system. Modifications reported by the seller are limited to black paint on the factory wheels and tinted windows. It was last serviced at 61,154 miles, when the valve cover gaskets, the gear sensors, and the gear sensor harness' wire ends were replaced.Audi broke new ground when it released the first-generation R8 for the 2008 model year. Low and wide, the R8 benefitted from Audi's expertise in using aluminum to save weight, and it launched with a V8 engine mounted behind the passenger compartment. It shared several parts with the Lamborghini Gallardo, though it was a fundamentally different car. Production of original R8 (called "Type 42" internally) ended in 2015.Power for this R8 comes from a 4.2-liter V8, rated at 420 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Mid-mounted, it spins the 4 wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission linked to a pair of shift paddles and Audi's Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
