1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata M Edition, finished in Marina Green Mica with a tan leather interior. For the 1997 model year, Mazda produced approximately 3,000 M Edition examples that featured the unique Marina Green Mica exterior, a tan leather interior, a tan soft top, Torsen limited-slip differential, polished 15-inch Enkei wheels, Nardi wooden shift knob, wooden parking brake handle, premium sound system with headrest speakers, and more. The 1997 model would be the final Miata to be called an M-Edition. The seller indicates that he has service documentation dating back to 1998 at 9,000 miles. Recent documentation pictured in the gallery indicates that this NA had a new clutch and slave/master cylinders installed within the last 5,000 miles. Various other service items are detailed below.Called "NA" internally, the first-generation MX-5 Miata was available in the U.S. from 1990 to 1997. The model came equipped with a lightweight aluminum hood, independent double-wishbone suspension on all four corners, and four-wheel disc brakes.Power comes from a 1.8-liter "BP" inline-4, which produces 133 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
