Inspired by the 507, it arrived as a two-seater roadster with gorgeous proportions, aluminum construction, and a 50:50 weight distribution. It was positioned at the top of the BMW range and never envisioned as a volume model. Precisely 5,703 units were built, according to the firm's archives department, and 2,543 of those were sent to America from 2000 to 2003.Power comes from a 4.9-liter "S62" V8, rated at 394 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Shared with the "E39" M5, it spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
