2001 Porsche Boxster S, finished in Biarritz White with a black soft top and a Savanna Beige interior. This Boxster is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, and the odometer currently displays approximately 10,500 miles. Factory equipment includes the Sport Package, a power-operated soft top, leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and more as listed below. Modifications reported by the seller are limited to tinted windows, a Kenwood head unit, and a rearview camera. Called "986" internally, the first-generation Boxster was introduced for 1997 as Porsche's long-awaited entry-level model. It was immediately well-received by driving enthusiasts and in hindsight was one of the cars that saved Porsche from an uncertain fate. The year 2000 brought the S variant, which received a more powerful engine and a firmer suspension, and production ended in 2004 with the introduction of the 2nd-generation "987" Boxster.Power comes from a 3.2-liter flat-6, rated at 250 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque.
