2005 Lexus GX 470, finished in Ash Blue Mica with an Ivory leather interior. Factory equipment includes the Navigation/Mark Levinson Audio and Preferred Accessory packages as well as leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, third-row seating, a rear air conditioner, and more as detailed below. Introduced for the 2003 model year, the GX 470 is based on the Toyota Prado and shares many components with the 4Runner. An update in 2004 included an upgraded transmission, and improvements to the V8 engine for the 2005 model year increased output by 35 horsepower. The model has become popular with enthusiasts for having the off-road capabilities of the Prado while featuring the luxurious amenities that Lexus is known for. Production ended in 2009 when it was replaced by the second generation GX 460. Power comes from a "2UZ-FE" 4.7-liter V8, which produces 270 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins all four wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel-drive system.
