2000 Mercedes-Benz SL500, finished in Designo Slate Blue Varicolor with a Dark Blue/Black Nappa leather interior. Equipment on this R129 SL500 includes the Designo Slate Blue Edition package, which also added charcoal maple wood trim on the dash, shift knob, and steering wheel, as well as Designo floor mats and a color-matched hardtop. Mercedes-Benz sold the R129-generation SL from the 1990 to the 2002 model year, and several visual cues (like the shape of the vents behind the front wheels and the rear lights) identify this SL500 as one of the later R129s built. Toward the end of R129 production, Mercedes-Benz promoted its Designo packages, and this Slate Blue stands apart with its Varicolor paint that — as its name implies — varies in hue depending on the lighting.Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8, which produces 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque.
