2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS, finished in Proton Yellow with a black and gray interior. Released for the 1999 model year, the VehiCROSS was a body-on-frame SUV with concept car-like styling developed to showcase Isuzu's off-road technology. It was notably equipped with monotube shocks that featured external heat expansion chambers, a technology normally reserved for off-road racing motorcycles.Isuzu sold 1,345 units of the VehiCROSS in the United States in 2001, the SUV's final model year, and 368 of these were painted in Proton Yellow.Power for this VehiCROSS comes from a 3.5-liter V6, which produces 215 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque. It spins the 4 wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a torque-on-demand 4-wheel drive system with a selectable low range.
