Introduced for the 1992 model year, the eighth-generation, GMT400-based Suburban was produced until 1999 for the American market. Fitted with a range of capable V8 engines including a turbodiesel variant, these trucks became ubiquitous family haulers as well as one of GM's most successful models of all time.Power comes from a 5.7-liter V8 rated at 250 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
