1998 GMC Savana G2500, finished in white with a gray interior. This is a rear-wheel-drive van that has been converted to four-wheel drive with a Dana front axle, locking front hubs, and a New Process Gear transfer case, among other parts. The list of modifications reported by the seller also includes 16-inch wheels, front leaf springs, a pop-up vent on the roof, a roof-mounted solar panel, Havelock Wool insulation, foam roofing and flooring, and additional interior lighting. It notably received a 5.7-liter (350-cubic-inch) V8 crate engine in September 2018, and numerous parts (including the water pump and radiator) were replaced at that time as well.GMC released the Savana for 1996 to replace the Vandura, which had joined the line-up for 1971. New from the ground up, and closely related to the Chevrolet Express, the Savana benefitted from numerous improvements including a more spacious interior achieved by moving the front wheels forward by about 10 inches; this reduced the amount of space taken up by the engine in the cabin. The Savana has received several updates since its launch, and it's somewhat surprisingly still part of the GMC range in 2022.Power comes from a 5.7-liter V8, rated at 250 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque when left stock. This van may have a different output because it's powered by a crate engine, but a dyno sheet is not available. The engine spins the four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
