It was appreciably quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, it ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design, and it came standard with a power-retractable hardtop. 2009 brought a round of comprehensive updates, and production ended in 2011.Power for this SL comes from a 5.0-liter V8 engine, rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
