Finished in Black Pearl Metallic with grey lower cladding and a grey MB-Tex interior. Modifications to this 300E are limited to the installation of a Sony head unit, and the car came from the factory with a power sunroof, power windows, and automatic climate control. Introduced for the 1984 model year, the W124 was the first Mercedes-Benz model to be labeled the "E-Class" and it included some interesting features such as a single windshield wiper and retractable rear headrests. It's gaining status as a modern classic midsize German luxury sedan, and it has a reputation for durability and solid build quality.Power comes from an "M103" 2.6-liter inline-6 engine, which produces 168 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission. This particular 300E was sold on Cars & Bids in November 2020. The winning bidder did not follow through for reasons unrelated to the vehicle or seller and has since been permanently banned.
