2018 Volkswagen Golf R, finished in Indium Gray Metallic with a Titan Black leather interior. This Golf R has been modified with an APR Stage 1 ECU tune and 18-inch Neuspeed RSe11R alloy wheels. Introduced in 2014 for the U.S. market, the Golf Mark 7 utilizes the same platform as the Audi S3. It's wider and has a longer wheelbase than the outgoing Golf Mark 6, and is equipped with a host of updated safety, technology, and convenience features.The Mark 7 Golf R is the high-performance variant of the model lineup and came from the factory with an updated, fifth-generation Haldex 4MOTION 4-wheel drive system and a sport suspension with Dynamic Chassis Control. With the "DSG" gearbox, as found in this Golf R, Volkswagen rates the R's acceleration from 0-to-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.Power comes from an "EA888" 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, which produces 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Due to the tune on this Golf R, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. The engine spins all four wheels via a 7-speed "DSG" automatic transmission and Haldex 4MOTION 4-wheel drive system.
