2001 Porsche Boxster S, finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic with a black soft top and a black interior. Modifications reported by the selling dealer are limited to 18-inch black and blue-painted Sport Design wheels.Called "986" internally, the first-generation Boxster was introduced for 1997 as Porsche's long-awaited entry-level model. It was immediately well-received by driving enthusiasts and in hindsight was one of the cars that saved Porsche from an uncertain fate. The year 2000 brought the S variant, which received a more powerful engine and a firmer suspension, and production ended in 2004 with the introduction of the 2nd-generation "987" Boxster.Power comes from a 3.2-liter flat-6, rated at 250 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
