1986 Mazda RX-7 race car, finished mostly in red with a black interior. it has participated in over 100 Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), National Auto Sport Association (NASA), and Midwestern Council races. Service records detail most of the maintenance and repairs performed on this RX-7 during its racing career. The seller states the engine oil, the brake fluid, and the battery were changed in 2020. It's fitted with 15-inch wheels, a racing exhaust system, a battery master cut-off switch, a driver-side window net, a bucket seat for the driver, and a roll cage, among other equipment. It retains the factory instrument cluster, and the odometer shows approximately 64,300 miles.Called FC internally, the second-generation RX-7 was available as a coupe with 2 or 4 seats and as a convertible. It was naturally-aspirated in its standard configuration, but Mazda offered a turbocharged engine at an extra cost on some variants. It went on sale for the 1986 model year, received a mid-cycle update for 1989, and retired in 1992.Power for this RX-7 comes from a 1.3-liter twin-rotor engine, which produces 146 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque when left stock. Reportedly built by Pettit Racing, it spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
