This generation of the Subaru Legacy marked the arrival of an available turbocharged engine in the Legacy family, and this top-rung Limited model combines exciting performance, sporty styling, and premium features.Power comes from a turbocharged "EJ255" 2.5-liter DOHC flat-4, rated at 250 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque (at the crank) in stock form. An included dyno sheet dated April 2015 shows this Legacy was making 243 horsepower and 244 lb-of torque at the wheels as a result of the modifications. Output is directed to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission and Subaru's permanent all-wheel-drive system.
