It was Mercedes-Benz's first volume-production electric car, and it used an electric powertrain co-developed with Tesla. Power comes from a single electric motor that draws electricity from a 28-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery to zap the front wheels with 177 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque.
