2009 Porsche Cayman S, finished in Carrara White with a black interior. Porsche introduced the Cayman for 2006 and immediately threw the automaker's entire hierarchy into question. Taking the Boxster's compact mid-engine layout and adding a fixed roof to the chassis made the "987" Cayman the most balanced Porsche available, and engineers were forced to keep engine output low enough to not threaten the 911 Carrera's dominance. The "987.2" further enhanced the Cayman's appeal in 2009 with more powerful engines and the elimination of the intermediate shaft (IMS) bearing.Power comes from a 3.4-liter flat-6 engine, rated at 320 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
