A 2006 refresh introduced updated styling and additional GM-sourced components, but retained many of the traditional Saab touches, including the Night Panel, center-mounted ignition, and the iconic turbocharged engine.Power comes from a turbocharged 2.3-liter DOHC inline-4 engine, which produces 260 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engine may be making more power as a result of the modifications, but a dyno sheet is not available to confirm. Output is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
