Product Details

1969 Ford Ranchero GT 390 4 Speed. In 1968, the Fairlane line was supplemented by the new Torino, and the 4th generation Ranchero followed suit. Overall, the new Ranchero was not only bigger, but also more angular than before with its more horizontal grille and horizontal quad headlamps which seemed to be the new following of all manufacturers of this era. The interior was all new, as well, sharing the Torino/Fairlane’s distinctive four-pod instrument cluster. Three trim levels were offered, beginning with the sparsely trimmed base Ranchero, the Ranchero 500 trimmed like the corresponding Fairlane 500, and the top-of-the line Ranchero GT with its Torino GT trim. Engine choices began with the 250 cubic inch to the most powerful 428 cu in (7.0 L) Cobra Jet. This Ranchero is equipped with the GT package, 390 motor, and 4 speed transmission which was somewhat of a rare combo. The attached Marti Report shows that only 50 were ordered and made in this combo and only 33 were made in this color combo so this is a very rare car. That said, during it ownership the color was changed from its original black on black to the blue shown with blue bucket seats.
