A build sheet is provided in the photo gallery, and a partial list of notable equipment includes an Autotrac active transfer case, four-wheel drive, auxiliary engine oil cooler, auxiliary transmission oil cooler, 7-wire trailering harness, 38.5-gallon fuel tank, dual body-color foldaway power heated mirrors with ground illumination and driver-side self-dimming feature, and more as detailed below.Modifications to this Suburban include Gibson headers, 4-inch exhaust, Westin side steps, a 2-inch suspension leveling kit, 33-inch tires, 16-inch aftermarket wheels, and reupholstered driver and passenger seats.Chevrolet introduced the ninth generation of the Suburban for the 2000 model year, which was given the internal designation "GMT800."For 2001, the fully redesigned Vortec "8100 L18" was introduced with the 2001 full-size pickup trucks and for the Suburban. It retained the same bore diameter as the old 7.4-liter "big blocks," but the stroke was upped by 9.4 mm to reach 8.1 liters. Other changes include a revised firing order, a new 18-bolt head bolt pattern, longer connecting rods, different symmetrical intake ports, different oil pan rails, and the use of metric threads throughout the engine.Power comes from an 8.1-liter V8 engine, rated at 325 horsepower and 447 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Due to the headers added to this Suburban, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
