2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, finished in World Rally Blue Pearl with a black and blue interior. This WRX STI comes equipped with BBS wheels, Brembo brakes, and blue Ecsaine upholstered sport seats, as well as an optional short throw shifter and the Performance Gauge Package. The 2nd-generation "GD" Impreza made its debut for the 2001 model year and was the first generation to be offered in the U.S. with an intercooled turbocharger. Two years later, the STI version was introduced to North America, where it remains the highest-specification Subaru available.The WRX (World Rally eXperimental) STI gained rally-bred upgrades, including a more powerful engine, a firmer suspension, front and rear limited-slip differentials, and a more muscular design characterized by a functional hood scoop and a rear wing. It became an instant success, thanks in part to its rally-inspired handling and its turbocharged engine.Power comes from an “EJ257” 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-4, rated at 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
