1988 Lotus Esprit Turbo, finished in Calypso Red with a tan interior. This Esprit is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, and its 5-digit odometer currently indicates approximately 37,000 miles. Equipment includes 15-inch OZ Racing Route wheels, a removable roof panel, leather upholstery, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/cassette radio. The only modification reported by the seller is window tint.Lotus released the Esprit in 1976 and made numerous design and mechanical updates to the model over the next 28 years. Peter Stevens gave it a less angular exterior design in 1988 for the “X180” version, while Lotus continued updating it under the skin until the arrival of the “S4” model in 1994.Power comes from a turbocharged 2.2-liter four-cylinder, rated at approximately 210 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque.
