2003 Porsche Boxster, finished in Polar Silver Metallic with a blue soft top and a Metropol Blue interior. This Boxster is equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. Modifications are limited to an aftermarket soft top.Carrying the "986" model designation, the first-generation Boxster was introduced for the 1997 model year following the strong reception of the 550 Spyder concept. Sharing the same front architecture as the new water-cooled 996, the Boxster featured a mid-mounted "M96" flat-six engine. It was immediately well-received by enthusiasts -- some even called it better than the 911, and the praises grew louder when Porsche gave the base Boxster a bigger, more powerful engine for the 2000 model year.Power comes from a mid-mounted 2.7-liter flat-6, rated at approximately 217 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.
