2017 Brunton Stalker, finished in green with a black interior. Street-legal and titled as a replica of a 1962 Lotus, this Stalker was built from scratch by Florida-based Brunton Auto and completed in July 2017. Its certificate of origin is pictured in the gallery.Weighing about 1,500 pounds, according to the seller, this roadster features a welded spaceframe chassis and fiberglass body panels. It's also equipped with a Wilwood braking system, a pair of Kirkey Racing seats, Speedhut gauges, and a heater, among other features. The seller states that this car was built with a "level 3 kit" and new parts with the exception of the transmission.Modifications reported by the seller include a custom-made intake system.Florida-based Brunton Auto was founded in 2001 to make replica and kit cars. It built the first Stalker that same year by drawing inspiration from the Lotus Seven available between 1957 and 1973. Its kits are assembled by hand, so buyers can customize nearly every part of the car including the drivetrain, the exterior, and the list of features. Finding two completely identical Stalker roadsters is unlikely.Power comes from a 2.3-liter turbocharged "EcoBoost" 4-cylinder engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Shared with the current-generation Ford Mustang, among several other models, it spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission sourced from a 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata.
