Product Details

1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC, finished in Arctic White with a gray interior. This coupe's odometer displays about 31,000 miles. Factory equipment includes 15-inch wheels, headlight wipers, wood interior trim, leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a power-operated rear sunshade, air conditioning, and a Becker Grand Prix cassette player. This car's build sheet is pictured in the gallery. The only modifications reported by the seller are bright strips on the door edges and an Alpine remote keyless entry system.Known as the C126 internally, the SEC was launched for the 1983 model year as the W126's coupe counterpart. While buyers in America were initially asked to settle for the 155-horsepower 380 model, Europeans could order the 500 variant that offered a more powerful engine, and the power disparity helped fuel a lucrative gray market. 500 sedans and coupes finally arrived in America for 1984, and both body styles gained an even bigger V8 for 1986. SEC sales ended after the 1991 model year.Power comes from a 5.5-liter V8, rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. Called "M117" internally, it spins the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
