It kept the opera windows and six-seater capacity of its predecessor and continued to be built on the body-on-frame Panther platform shared with the Ford Crown Victoria, but gained a much more rounded exterior design and an all-new interior. 1993 brought a subtle exterior redesign and production ended after the 1997 model year with the introduction of the 3rd (and final) generation Town Car.Power comes from a 4.6-liter V8, rated at 190 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.
