Product Details

1993 Autozam AZ-1, finished in red with a red and black interior. This AZ-1 is a Japanese-spec, right-hand-drive car that's equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. Imported from Japan in 2020, it's equipped with a metric instrument cluster, and the odometer shows about 70,000 kilometers, which represents approximately 43,500 miles. According to Motor Trend, only 4,392 AZ-1s were built, along with 531 badge-engineered Suzuki Cara models. Over 28,000 Suzuki Cappuccino and 33,000 Honda Beat models were produced, making the AZ-1 the rarest of the sports kei cars. Equipment includes gullwing doors, a 5-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, cloth upholstery, and split side windows.Modifications reported by the seller include 13-inch Enkei wheels with 185/60 Federal Super Street tires, custom seat upholstery with headrest embroidery, custom leather door pulls and e-brake cover, and an Alpine head unit. The Autozam AZ-1 was the result of a collaboration between Mazda and Suzuki to create a quirky, mid-engine Kei car. Complete with gullwing doors, a tiny inline-3 engine, and very low weight, the AZ-1 provides a very unique driving experience, which -- as a result -- has endeared itself to Japanese Domestic Market car enthusiasts.Power comes from an "F6A" 657cc turbocharged inline-3, rated at 63 horsepower and 63 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
