This Impala SS is unmodified, and the odometer shows approximately 38,200 miles.According to the window sticker pictured in the photo gallery, this Impala cost $25,712 in 1996 and came equipped with 17-inch aluminum wheels, a limited-slip differential, 6-way power seats, a block heater, and more as detailed below.The 1994 to 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS resurrected a storied name for a modern take on the full-size muscle car. Based on the Caprice, the Impala SS featured a 5.7-liter "LT1" V8 borrowed from the Corvette, but with iron heads and a revised intake and exhaust. The chassis featured the police-package suspension, de Carbon monotube shocks, and a lower ride height. A subtle styling makeover and 17-inch 5-spoke wheels complete the package outside, while leather bucket seats are fitted inside. All 1994 cars were black, with dark green and dark cherry added for '95 and '96. The 1996 Impala SS also got analog gauges (with a tachometer) in place of the earlier cars' digital cluster, and a floor shift replaced the previous column shift.Power comes from a 5.7-liter LT1 V8, which produces 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.This particular Impala SS was offered on Cars & Bids in February 2021, with the prior listing shown here.
