Product Details

1989 BMW 320i Touring, finished in Alpine White with a gray interior. This 320i is a right-hand drive, UK-spec wagon, and it's equipped with an S52 inline-6 donated from an E36 M3, a 5-speed manual transmission, and an imperial instrument cluster. Other equipment includes headlight wipers, fog lights, a sunroof, and power front windows. Additional modifications reported by the seller include an aluminum radiator with electric fan, a Dinan carbon fiber intake tube, a custom exhaust, a UUC shifter assembly, a Garagistic front strut bar, BC Racing adjustable rear coil springs, a manual steering rack, and "Vader" front sport seats. The full list is shown below. BMW engineer Max Reisböck transformed a wrecked 323i into the first E30 wagon in 1984 to take his family on vacation. While the Touring didn't initially appear in the firm's product plan, it was fast-tracked to production after executives saw Reisböck's one-off creation. About 103,704 units were sold from 1987 to 1993, and none were officially brought to America.Power comes from an "S52" 3.2-liter inline-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque in stock form. This engine may be making more power as a result of the modifications, though a dyno sheet is not available. Output is shuttled to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
