The right-angle gearbox was replaced in March 2018 at 31,652 miles.Pegged at the intersection of motorcycles and cars, the Polaris Slingshot arrived for 2015 with a tubular chassis, polymer body panels, a front-mounted General Motors-sourced engine, and a reverse trike layout. It offers the experience of riding a sports bike and the handling of a sports car; it has no doors and no roof but it features a steering wheel and pedals. Polaris still makes the Slingshot in 2021.Power comes from a 2.4-liter supercharged 4-cylinder engine, rated at 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque when left stock and naturally-aspirated.
