2008 Chevrolet HHR SS, finished in Victory Red with a black interior. The SS variants of the HHR received mechanical upgrades over the standard car in addition to equipment such as sport seats, a boost gauge, and performance traction control modes. The full list of modifications to this particular HHR are detailed below, and highlights include an upgraded turbo from GM Performance, an intake, an ECU tune, a NEX touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, KYB shocks, and H&R springs.General Motors entered the retro-compact market with the HHR just as public opinion had begun to shift away from hatchbacks shaped like SUVs from the 1940s, and toward actual SUVs from the present day. Nevertheless, GM soldiered on, delivering not only an interesting panel van version of the HHR but also the performance-oriented turbocharged SS, as seen here.Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, which produces 260 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Due to the modifications performed to this HHR, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
