1989 Dodge Dakota Sport Convertible, finished in white with a black soft top and a red cloth interior. Modifications reported by the seller include an aftermarket dual exhaust, side mirrors from a later-model Dakota, a Pioneer head unit, and aftermarket speakers.In an attempt to bolster lagging sales of its once-popular mid-sized pickup, Chrysler decided to up the fun-factor of the Dakota by contracting coachbuilder ASC to transform it into a full-fledged convertible sport truck. Unfortunately the model never sold well, and the project was cancelled after roughly 3,700 units were built. Power comes from a 3.9-liter V6, rated at 125 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Output is shuttled to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
