The Series 3 Spider went on sale for the 1983 model year and brought with it revised exterior styling as well as a Bosch fuel-injected version of the venerable twin-cam inline-four. By 1986, three trim levels were offered: base Graduate, mid-level Veloce, and range-topping Quadrifoglio. The model's instrument cluster was revised for 1986.Power comes from a 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-4, which produces 115 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
