Product Details

1990 Volkswagen Corrado G60, finished in Tornado Red with a black interior. The odometer currently displays approximately 38,200 miles.Heavily modified, this Corrado is powered by a 2.0-liter "9A" 4-cylinder engine sourced from a Passat and fitted with a G60 supercharger. Its cylinders were bored to 83 mm, and it was fitted with several new parts including JE pistons and an MLS headgasket, according to the seller. He adds that the work was completed less than 4,000 miles ago.Other modifications made to this Corrado include a BBM fuel rail, a Techtonics Tuning stainless steel exhaust system with Borla mufflers, 16-inch Porsche wheels, European-spec headlights, and an Infinity sound system. Some of the factory parts are included in the sale.Volkswagen marketed the Corrado launched for 1990 as its "first full-blooded sports car." The coupe replaced the Scirocco, but it tilted more towards the performance end of the coupe spectrum with a muscular exterior design and a supercharged 1.8-liter engine. 1992 brought a VR6 engine and the Sports Luxury Coupe (SLC) designation. Production ended in 1994, and the Corrado name was never used again in the United States.Power for this Corrado comes from a 2.0-liter supercharged 4-cylinder engine, which produces 181 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque, according to a dyno sheet shown in the gallery. It spins the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
