1998 Toyota Land Cruiser, finished in Atlantis Blue Mica with a Chateau interior. According to the build sheet pictured in the gallery, factory equipment includes the Gold Badge Package (gold exterior badges), 16-inch wheels, a rear differential lock, fog lights, a sunroof, leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, third row bench seat, and wood interior trim, among others listed below. The selling dealer reports no modifications have been performed to this Land Cruiser.Toyota launched the 100-Series Land Cruiser for 1998 as a replacement for the 80-Series model. While the design changes were largely evolutionary, the 100 was the first Land Cruiser available with a V8 engine and it gained an independent front suspension system for the first time. Changes to the steering system were made as well. All told, it offered a smoother ride, more power, and a more luxurious cabin than its predecessor while remaining just as capable off the beaten path. The 1998 Land Cruiser models are equipped with standard shocks and springs, unlike the Adjustable Height Control system found on later 100-Series Land Cruisers. Production ended in 2007.Power comes from the "2UZ-FE" 4.7-liter V8, which produces 230 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4-wheel drive system with a 2-speed transfer case.
