Product Details

1993 Ford Thunderbird, finished in blue and yellow with a gray and white interior. The rear U-joint was changed, the chassis was greased, the oil filter was cleaned, and the brakes were bled. Ford launched the 10th-generation Thunderbird for 1989, but the NASCAR model shared little more than a silhouette and a name with its street-legal sibling. Developed under the more permissive "Generation 4" guidelines, it featured highly aerodynamic lines and fiberglass body panels, a combination that made it faster than "Generation 3" cars. The Thunderbird competed in NASCAR events until 1997, when it was replaced by the Taurus, and the "Gen 4" cars raced in the Cup Series until the Car of Tomorrow arrived in 2008.Power comes from a 358-cubic-inch (5.9-liter) V8 engine, rated at 600 horsepower according to the seller. It spins the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission.
