As its name suggests, it featured Honda's innovative variable valve timing, which was triggered at 5,800 rpm on its "H22A1" 4-cylinder engine. The VTEC model also came equipped with larger brakes than the Si or base model Preludes and weighed under 2,900 pounds.Power comes from a 2.2-liter inline-4, which produces 190 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
