2001 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4, finished in Fire Red with a Neutral interior. This Sierra is a top-of-the-line SLT trim truck, and factory equipment includes an Autotrac push-button transfer case, chrome exterior trim, chrome tubular side steps, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a CD player. Modifications are limited to chrome bed rails, and a Leonard bed liner.General Motors launched the GMT800 platform truck for the 1999 model year. The GMC Sierra variant of the GMT800 was aimed at buyers looking for more of a luxury feel in their pickup trucks. The Sierra 1500 was the light duty offering from GMC, and the model was available as a 2-door regular cab, 3 or 4-door extended cab, or a 4-door crew cab. Multiple bed sizes were offered as well. Production ended in 2007 when it was replaced by the GMT900 platform.Power comes from a "Vortec" 5.3-liter V8 engine, rated at 285 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
